Fourth-year students from our university participated in the local phase of the prestigious international competition, the CFA Institute Research Challenge . This competition represents a unique opportunity to recognize and reward the best university team in the country for their valuation report and analysis of a publicly traded company, fostering a high level of commitment and financial analysis.
After competing against teams from various universities in Argentina, our students Renzo Dichio Carles (Bachelor of Business Administration), Edgardo Kaial (Bachelor of Business Economics), Ignacio Linari Micheletti (Bachelor of Business Administration), and Nicolás Valdettaro (Bachelor of Business Economics) traveled to Buenos Aires, accompanied by members of the Finance department. Their hard work, dedication, and analytical skills allowed them to excel, establishing themselves as one of the four best teams in the local final of this globally impactful competition.
For this edition, the jury was represented by Gustavo Mariani , CFA, Vice President and CEO at Pampa Energía; Lida Wang , CFA, Investor Relations and Sustainability Officer at Pampa Energía; Matías Cremaschi , CFA, Chief Investment Officer at Delta Asset Management; Fabricio Gatti , Investment Manager at Novus Asset Management; and Nicolás Max , Director of Asset Management at Criteria.
During the competition, participants not only demonstrated their proficiency in financial data analysis, but also presented investment recommendations for the national energy company Pampa Energía, facing the additional challenge of presenting their ideas in English, a challenge that not only strengthened their technical skills, but also allowed them to improve their communication in a key global language for the financial world.
This achievement not only reflects their academic commitment but also the educational excellence promoted by our University, supported by dedicated and passionate faculty. Through competitions like the CFA Institute Research Challenge, our students have the opportunity to apply their knowledge, face real-world challenges in the financial sector, and excel at the national and international levels.
