1. Object

The purpose of this form is to allow pre-registration for courses offered by the Universidad Austral (Civil Association for Higher Education), as well as managing inquiries and contacting interested parties. Completing and submitting the form implies reading and accepting these Terms and Conditions.

3. Personal Data Collected

This form is used solely to collect the data necessary to manage the pre-registration:

Identifying information: name, surname and document number
Contact information: email address, phone number and home address
Academic information: career of interest, educational level achieved
Other data that the interested party decides to include voluntarily in the query field

The user declares that the information provided is truthful, complete, and up-to-date. The University will not be liable for any consequences arising from incorrect or outdated information.

4. Purpose and Legal Basis of the Processing

The data collected will be processed for the following purposes and legal bases:

5. Consent for Marketing Communications

⚠ Important: Sending communications about educational offerings beyond the requested degree program requires your explicit consent. This consent is given by checking a specific box on the form (“I wish to receive information about other degrees and activities of the Universidad Austral”) and is completely independent of the registration process.

Consent for marketing communications is:

Voluntary: your refusal does not affect your registration or your relationship with the University in any way
Revocable: You can unsubscribe at any time using the link included in each communication or by writing to gobiernodedatos@austral.edu.ar
Specific: granted only for communications of the Universidad Austral and does not imply transfer to third parties for their own purposes

6. Minors

The form can be completed by minors, but it will be provisional.

In the event of proceeding with the formal registration process for a career, the participation and consent of the father, mother or legal representative may be required in accordance with current regulations.

The University reserves the right to request additional documentation to verify the corresponding authorization.

7. Transfer of Data to Third Parties

The data collected may be accessed by technology providers acting as data processors under a confidentiality agreement.

The data will not be sold, transferred, or used for their own purposes by any third party. It may be disclosed to public bodies only when required by law.

8. Storage Period

The data will be kept for the following periods:

Inquiries with no progress in the admissions process: 2 years since the last contact
Applicants with admission process started but not completed: 3 years
Enrolled students: throughout the academic relationship and for an additional 10 years in accordance with legal obligations
Data processed based on consent (marketing): until the revocation of said consent

After these periods have elapsed, the data will be securely deleted or anonymized.

9. Rights of the Holders

In accordance with Law 25.326, the holder may exercise the following rights at any time:

Access: to know what data is in our records and how it is processed
Rectification: correct inaccurate, incomplete or outdated data
Deletion: request deletion when there is no legal obligation to retain it
Objection: to object to the processing for specific purposes, in particular for marketing
Revocation of consent: to revoke the consent given for communications

How to exercise your rights? Send an email to gobiernodedatos@austral.edu.ar with the subject line “Exercise of Rights LPDP,” indicating your full name, ID number, and the right you wish to exercise. The University will respond within a maximum of 30 calendar days. If you believe your request has not been addressed, you may file a complaint with the AAIP at www.argentina.gob.ar/aaip.

10. Information Security

The University implements appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration, including encryption of communications, role-based access control, and regular security audits. In the event of a security breach affecting personal data, the AAIP will be notified and, where appropriate, the affected data subjects will be informed.

11. Acceptance

✔ By submitting this form, the user: You declare that you have read and accepted these Terms and Conditions; confirm that the information provided is truthful; and, if you are a minor, that you have the authorization of your legal representative. Consent for marketing communications is only considered granted if the corresponding box has been expressly checked.

The University reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions. Any substantial modification will be notified at least 15 days in advance by posting it on the institutional website.
