Priority Lines of

Research

We defined priority lines of research to guide and strengthen knowledge production from a strategic and shared vision. The process, based on identifying strengths, gaps, and opportunities and in dialogue with the institutional framework, allowed us to recognize existing capabilities and project, as an academic community, the future of the research we want to promote, from a common interdisciplinary perspective.

Five lines, one purpose: to generate knowledge with social impact

Technologies applied to Health

This line promotes research
oriented to development and implementation of innovative technologies —such as digital tools, drugs, devices, processes, or systems— with the aim of transform the quality of medical care and management, optimize the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of diseases, and promote equitable access to information, medical education and care. health.

Precision medicine, translational and clinical research

The research line in precision, translational and clinical medicine seeks to generate concrete solutions for health —diagnoses, treatments and strategies
preventive— integrating studies based on genetic and epigenetic variability and their impact on the clinic and promoting bidirectional translational research: from the laboratory to medical practice and from the clinic to the laboratoryIntegrating findings and needs in both directions. In this way, they promote a broad and sustainable population impact, geared towards more effective and equitable medicine.

Society, Democracy and Institutional Quality

This line promotes the development of research related to the link between the evolution of the
technologies and their social and cultural impactespecially in political, educational, media, business, and judicial institutions and the Strengthening the rule of law and democracy in the current context of Argentina.

Care, Wellbeing and Human Flourishing

Research will be promoted to clarify the role of the virtue, character education, purpose, and the influence of other factors such as material circumstances, interpersonal relationships, and education, for a full development of
person.

Innovation, digital transformation and sustainability

Through an interdisciplinary approach and a person-centered perspective, the following are encouraged Studies in emerging technologies that optimize processes, while fostering inclusive, resilient and environmentally sustainable productivity.

Collaborative methodology and institutional participation

The definition of the lines was the result of a strategic and shared process, aimed at strengthening research, its capabilities and its impact on reality.

Institutional mapping of research
Integration of quantitative and qualitative evidence
Active participation of all Academic Units and the Hospital
Building a common interdisciplinary perspective
