The Rector of the Universidad AustralMr. Julián Rodríguez participated in the Rectors' Meeting of Universia Argentina, which brought together 57 authorities from public and private universities to address the challenges and opportunities of higher education in a context of digital transformation.

The meeting, held on August 6 at the Santander Argentina headquarters, brought together university rectors from across the country with the aim of strengthening inter-university cooperation, promoting innovation and fostering initiatives that contribute to the development of higher education in Argentina and Latin America.

The opening was led by Guillermo Tempesta, president of Universia Argentina and Santander Argentina, who highlighted the organization's sustained commitment to the region's universities and the importance of consolidating collaborative spaces to face the challenges of a constantly evolving academic environment.

During the day, experiences were shared, opportunities for joint work were identified, and progress was made on a common agenda focused on digital transformation, innovation, and the institutional strengthening of the university system.

In this context, the Rector of the Universidad Austral and president of MetaRed X Argentina, Mr. Julián Rodríguez, he noted:

“At this second Universia meeting, I had the opportunity to explain MetaRed X to the Rectors. I placed special emphasis on the value of the network, which can be distinguished by three main factors: first, it is a dynamic and growing network, where more universities and heads of university entrepreneurship units join every year; second, by the unique and valuable information being generated, of enormous interest to the entrepreneurial ecosystem; and third, by the access, through the universities, to a large number of current and potential entrepreneurs.”

On the other hand, some of the highlights of the Universia Argentina Rectors' Meeting:

• Presentation of MetaRed Agora Campus, a collaborative platform that brings together the online course offerings of Ibero-American universities.
• Promoting international academic cooperation, while preserving the autonomy and identity of each institution.
• Advances in Campus App, the mobile communication tool for universities that is now available to institutions in the network.
• Exchange of experiences and best practices to accelerate the digital transformation of higher education.
• Definition of joint lines of work focused on innovation and university collaboration.

Finally, there was an exchange between the participating rectors to define the next lines of joint work, reaffirming the commitment of Universia and MetaRed to a more collaborative, innovative higher education prepared to face the challenges of digital transformation.
