Anthropology Course for the Program of Humanistic Studies

Under this title, Prof. Paola Delbosco taught a course for the Program of Humanistic Studies from October 28th to November 11th. Different anthropological positions were explored with the intention of having participants become familiar with some humanistic foundations for scientific research. The course is part of the Program of Humanistic Studies.

Duration: 9 hours (3 classes of 3 hours each)

Methodology: A brief presentation of the topic’s most characteristic features, along with the support of selected texts, will encourage active participation from the students, with the goal of establishing a shared synthesis.

Dates: October 28th, November 4th, and November 11th, from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM.

Course Information

Objectives:

  • Encourage participants to question the ontological foundations of their scientific work.
  • Familiarize participants with various authors’ responses regarding these foundations.
  • Enable participants to explore the ethical and political consequences of different anthropological perspectives presented.
  • Introduce participants to a proposal for a humanistic foundation for scientific research.
