QS Ranking By Subject 2025: New Recognition for the Universidad Austral

The latest edition of the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2025, recognizes the Universidad Austral as the leading private management institution in Argentina in four disciplines: Law, Medicine, Business and Management, and Philosophy.

For seven years, Law and Medicine have maintained their leading positions among private universities, while Business and Management have consolidated their position over the last four years. Philosophy reinforces the university's academic excellence and contribution to interdisciplinary knowledge for the second consecutive year.

For its rector, Mag. Julián Rodríguez, "From the Universidad Austral We continue our strategic push for regional and reputational positioning. This year, three disciplines stand out with significant improvements. Law and Medicine: Seven consecutive years of leadership

The Law School ranks among the top 101-150 in the world, maintaining its position as the first private law school in Argentina and the second nationally after the University of Buenos Aires.

“The results confirm that the efforts our Faculty has made over the years have materialized in attributes that the academic and professional legal community, both nationally and internationally, values ​​and recognizes. Our institution has already become a leading center for academic research in the region, and our graduates achieve outstanding careers in various areas of the legal profession. At the same time, Rector Rodríguez adds: “The Law School's leadership has been consolidated, and each year it gets closer to the top 100 positions—a very strong recognition in a field overcrowded with options. For its part, the Faculty of Biomedical Sciences has once again established itself as the best privately managed faculty in Medicine. According to its dean, Dr. Guillermo Mazzolini, the key to this achievement lies in the combination of rigorous academic training with a humanistic approach. “At our Faculty, medical education focuses on the patient and their family, balancing the pursuit of technical and scientific excellence. Our students not only acquire knowledge in the classroom, which includes practical experience in the Simulation Center, but also interact directly with patients at the Austral University Hospital.”, details.

In the field of Business, Austral is recognized in the region with the IAEIts Business School, unique in our country with the triple international accreditation typical of elite schools, forms an interdisciplinary synergy with the Faculty of Business Sciences, whose campuses are Pilar and RosarioIn this edition, the discipline maintains its position in the 151-200 ranking worldwide.

Luis Dambra, dean of the Faculty of Business Sciences – Pilar campus, assures that “This recognition encourages us to continue innovating in our educational approach to remain at the forefront, ensuring an excellent education that allows us to produce world-class graduates. We have a faculty committed to research and innovation that supports this bold challenge, enabling us to be leaders in the region.”

For Carolina Dams, dean of IAE Business School, the recognition of the QS by Subject 2025 ranking, is “a reflection of the academic rigor, the relevance of our programs and the commitment to excellence that the IAE It shares this with the Faculty of Business Sciences.”

For his part, the rector of our University states: “We aim to collaborate in creating a business environment in Argentina that promotes social equity and respect for the environment.”

Philosophy, a discipline that is beginning to consolidate

After appearing for the first time last year, Austral is once again established in the Philosophy discipline, in which it improved its position to the 151-200 range.
