La Universidad Austral It reaffirms its commitment to the country's educational development through a new edition of its traditional Campaign to benefit the Scholarship FundFor the 8th consecutive year, and under the motto People who transform, the initiative calls on companies, organizations, individuals and the graduate community to actively join in building a more equitable and quality education.
The campaign's objective is to make possible the dream of hundreds of young people who wish to access an excellent university education, with human values and social commitment, but who do not have the economic resources to achieve it.
Thanks to the support of a large donor community, More than 1.400 students currently receive some form of financial aid in the Universidad Austral. This support transforms not only their lives, but also those of their families and communities, by turning them into well-rounded, prepared, and committed professionals.
For the Rector of the Universidad AustralMr. Julián Rodríguez, the current context imposes a profound collective challenge: “We live in a world where the gaps between the haves and the have-nots have become true social wounds. The technological revolution and digital transformation, far from closing them, tend to deepen them. In this scenario, education—in all its dimensions—reveals itself as the bridge capable of building links between both sides, offering real opportunities to those who need them most.”
And he adds an invitation to everyone to join this new campaign: "In Universidad AustralWe dream of being an effective instrument of social inclusion through a person-centered academic education. We want to actively collaborate in reducing inequalities and, to accelerate this ambitious task, we invite all those who share our values and dreams to join us in this common purpose.
From the Institutional Development area, its director Laura Blaquier highlights the importance of each annual campaign: " Universidad Austral It has a scholarship fund that impacts more than 1.400 students. Each year, our campaign adds concrete actions to create opportunities so that more young people—who without this support wouldn't even consider studying—can aspire to become the first professionals in their families. It's a challenge we can't take on alone. We need the active commitment of the business and alumni community to join this great transformative project.”
And she adds about this transformative experience: “At the University, we see many cases of scholarship students with enormous potential who, if no one had noticed them, would have had that talent and drive to excel go untapped. Every contribution creates and builds a concrete opportunity. And it's very moving to meet the scholarship recipients and feel their effort, knowing that behind their scholarships are many people who support them and believe in them.”
