At the Pilar headquarters of the Universidad AustralA Collaboration Agreement was signed between the Intellectual Property Center (CPI) of the Faculty of Law and Argentine Chamber of Medicinal Specialties (CAEME), with the aim of promoting and carrying out academic research activities in the field of intellectual property.
The agreement bears the signature of Manuel García-MansillaDean of the Faculty of Law, and of Carlos escobar Herrán, executive director of CAEME.
The Intellectual Property Center of the Universidad Austral It was founded in 2001 with the purpose of creating an academic environment for developing educational, research, dissemination, conflict resolution, and service activities that promote the development of intellectual property in all its aspects and across all technical, scientific, artistic, and humanistic disciplines. It is one of the leading academic centers in Ibero-America for intellectual property, specifically for the protection of trademarks, pharmaceutical inventions, and biotechnological inventions.
CAEME promotes pharmaceutical innovation, enabling scientific advances to result in safe and effective medicines so people can live longer, healthier lives with a better quality of life. To achieve this, their work rests on two fundamental pillars: continuous investment in research and development (R&D) and the effective protection of intellectual property rights over the results of these developments for a specified period, allowing for the recovery of investment and its reinvestment in new pharmaceutical products.
