The School of Government of the Universidad Austral designates the Dr. Fotios Fitsilis as Professor and Deputy Director of CIDEIPP 

The School of Politics, Government and International Relations of the Universidad Austral We are honored to announce the appointment of Dr. Fotios Fitsilis as Professor of Artificial Intelligence and Parliamentary Governance at our academic institution. Dr. Fitsilis will also assume the roles of Deputy Director of the International Center for Parliamentary Studies, Research and Foresight (CIDEIPP) and Member of the Artificial Intelligence Observatory, within the framework of the University's academic and scientific activities. 

Dr. Fitsilis is internationally recognized as one of the leading authorities on artificial intelligence, public policy and digital governance, and has been a pioneer in shaping and developing the field of research on AI in Parliaments, establishing global standards for its ethical and effective use in the area of ​​their institutional and democratic strengthening. 

 

With nearly 80 scientific publications, including seven books, his academic output reflects a strong commitment to excellence, innovation, and social impact. His multidisciplinary background includes degrees in law, engineering, and finance, obtained from RWTH Aachen University (Germany), the University of Hagen (Germany), and the Academy of European Public Law (Greece). 

 

Throughout his career, Dr. Fitsilis has collaborated with parliaments and leading international organizations on digital transformation, regulatory frameworks, and public policy. His joining the Universidad Austral It strengthens the institution's international projection and consolidates its leadership in applied research at the service of democracy and legislative innovation.
