Reducing inequality, seeking consensus, adaptive leadership, and social movements, among others, will be some of the topics covered in this virtual training opportunity inspired by the legacy of Nelson Mandela.
In a world facing unprecedented challenges, from social inequality to climate change, visionary leaders capable of generating real and sustainable transformations are needed. That is why the Nelson Mandela Global Academy for Social Change was created, an initiative that represents an exceptional collaboration between the Nelson Mandela Foundation and the Mandela Project for Social Change, a joint project between the UN System Staff College and seven prestigious universities around the world.
In the words of our director, Alfonso Santiago: “It is a great honor and a great opportunity for our School of Government to participate in this network of universities that make up the Nelson Mandela Global Academy. We want to contribute to training social and political leaders who stand out for their broad vision, their personal commitment to development and social change, and their ability to work with people and institutions that share the same human values: human dignity, solidarity, cooperation, peace, work, family, and human development with social justice.”
