Center for Middle Eastern Studies

El Center for Middle Eastern Studies of the Universidad Austral (NEMOIt is a research space in Political Science and International Relations, created in October 2018 at the School of Politics, Government and International Relations of the Faculty of Law. It promotes scholarly knowledge of the Middle East and North Africa region from different perspectives: its actors, domestic issues, regional and global links, its economic resources, current situations and relations with Latin America, particularly with Argentina.

NEMO fulfills its mission by promoting research activities, training students and young graduates, and fostering the continuous training of professionals through master classes, discussion of texts and films, participation in congresses, preparation of publications, and dissemination of knowledge, seeking to serve as a bridge of understanding and fraternity between the Middle East and Latin America.
