Between August 1st and 12th, we were visited by Professor Juan José Sanguineti, associate researcher of the project "The Brain and the Person," and professor of Philosophy of Knowledge at the Faculty of Philosophy of the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross (Rome). On August 2nd and 4th, Professor Sanguineti gave the seminar " Convictions and Certainties ," within the framework of the Humanistic Studies Program, addressing important questions in the philosophy of knowledge, such as the notion of truth, the compatibility between epistemic planes, and intellectual virtues and vices.
On August 3, the professor gave an open lecture on "Mind, Brain and Soul" at the Pilar Campus, which was attended by around 65 people interested in the topic.
Finally, on Thursday, August 11, he led the third meeting of the "Person, Mind, and Brain" seminar at the Institute of Philosophy, with an open lecture entitled " Neuroscience and Anthropology ," organized in conjunction with the Universidad del Norte Santo Tomás de Aquino. It was a motivating class attended by approximately 60 academics and 50 students. This event was filmed, and we will upload the video to this same space shortly.
We appreciate Dr. Sanguineti's visit and hope to enjoy his seminars again very soon.
