A survey conducted by the Universidad Austral It registered a significant decline in the skills of Argentine students between 2013 and 2023. According to the report, Students' verbal performance decreased by 8,4%. while the overall intelligence quotient experienced a reduction of 3,6 points.

The research, which assessed cognitive, educational, social, and environmental factors, also identified a widening gap between students in public and private schools. In an interview with Radio Sudamericana, researcher Rocío González, a member of the team in charge of the study, analyzed the scope of these indicators and warned about the impact of context and technology on the intellectual development of children and adolescents.
