University Center for Family Guidance “El Rocío”

With a view to extending the ICF's mission to people in vulnerable situations, the Center for the Study of Interpersonal Relationships (CERI) and the Ayudar a Soñar Foundation created the "El Rocío" Family Guidance Center.

Initially, the facility provided food assistance to approximately 440 people thanks to the efforts of the Ayudar a Soñar Foundation. Beginning in July 2014, community outreach expanded to include family support and guidance, coordinated and assisted by professionals from the ICF's Center for the Study of Interpersonal Relationships.

Currently, El Rocío receives and serves families from the community referred by the Nuestra Señora de Itatí Health Center, the Municipal Public Schools, the Educational Guidance Team, the Pilar Family Court, the local Service for the Promotion and Protection of Children's Rights, the Directorate for Children and Families, the Pilar Municipal Ombudsman's Office, the National Secretariat for Children, Adolescents, and Families of the Ministry of Social Development, and foundations and non-governmental organizations related to education, children, and families.

The community work that the ICF carries out from El Rocío is based on the pillars of education, prevention, and family guidance, with the individual and family as its primary objective.
