Last Tuesday, August 20th, the second edition of Austral Fintech Day, the Finance, Technology and Entrepreneurship event of the Faculty of Business Sciences, was held at the Pilar Campus. Universidad Austral.

Students from all years and majors, graduates and faculty members participated in this great day where special guests, thematic talks and mentoring spaces were the reason for the meeting.

The day, led by Jesica Barrionuevo, co-founder of Onwip, began with Albi Czernikowski from n1u explaining how they created a new user experience where you can manage your finances as if you were playing a video game.

Kleros & Lemon, represented by Juan Samitier and Facundo Pastorella, explained how they are revolutionizing customer service with Blockchain technology

Lucas Valeggiani, a graduate of our faculty and co-founder of Speezard and Fonder, conveyed to us, with great impact, the importance of undertaking entrepreneurship in community and not in solitude.

Mariana Sigal, CSO of Geopagos, shared her vision on the role of women in leadership positions within companies.

Hemilse Debrouvier, from Binance, spoke about the exponential impact of Blockchain technology, comparing different historical milestones in the advances throughout humanity.

With Pablo Sanchez, co-founder and CIO of Brubank, we talked about the creation of the first digital bank in Argentina and constant innovation, with the customer as the focus, breaking down the barriers of customs and practices.

The #AustralEntrepreneurs panel, made up of Matías Armentano, Santos Travella, Santiago Holst and Marcelo Macagno, shared with us, firsthand, what it means to be an entrepreneur and how to integrate it with studying and the role of a student.

Finally, Sebastián Rosenbolt, CTO of MODO, spoke about the importance of forming IT teams aligned with the company's global objectives.

In addition, the event featured a mentoring space for entrepreneurs to pitch, learn, and be advised by C-level executives from the largest companies in the industry, as well as booths where they could approach, ask questions, play games, and win prizes.

And to close, an after-party with networking where students and speakers could connect and exchange knowledge about the Fintech world, and raffles courtesy of Samsung Argentina and Postgraduate Scholarships from our Faculty.

It was truly enriching to listen to professionals who are at the forefront of these fields and see how they apply technologies in their projects.
