The Department of Education of the Faculty of Business Sciences is an interdisciplinary team

It was created to enhance the pedagogical training of its teachers, promote scientific knowledge and incorporate educational innovations, in order to enrich the educational quality of the Faculty.

Specifically, it works on teacher development both in a personalized way and through reflection by disciplinary areas, starting from specific training needs with a focus on the competency-based teaching and in the eVirtual teaching.

Competency-based teaching

Competency-Based Education is one of the main pillars of the Faculty of Education's (FCE) teacher development program. Its objective is to train competent professionals committed to social development, capable of efficiently solving problems in professional practice and, fundamentally, of achieving ethical and responsible professional performance.

Virtual teaching

In the context of a pandemic in which teaching has shifted to virtual learning, the Department of Education seeks to ensure a good adaptation to this medium in order to strengthen students' skills, learning and reflection through good teaching practices.

Area tasks
  • Design and implementation of teacher training programs, incorporation of educational innovations through training and reflection cycles.
  • Continuous and personalized pedagogical support for teachers, through classroom observations and meetings constructive feedback.
  • Teacher training in aspects of pedagogy, teaching and learning at the higher education level.
  • Design of educational and training support materials for teachers.
  • Training of student teaching assistants through the School of Assistants.
  • Educational research in business training, presentation of results at conferences and workshops, and publication in scientific journals.

CECILIA PRIMOGERIO

She holds a degree in Educational Psychology from the University of El Salvador. She completed postgraduate studies at the Catholic University of Argentina and Torcuato Di Tella University. She also completed a fellowship at the University of Toronto, Canada.
Regarding her research work, she focused her studies on topics related to educational tutoring, teacher training, teaching methodologies, study habits and learning at the university level.

She holds a degree in Educational Sciences from the University of El Salvador.
