PRESENTATION

The clinical simulation and patient safety training program for healthcare professionals in Argentina seeks to provide participants with tools to incorporate patient safety content through simulation-based teaching.

In this way, it is hoped to achieve a improvement in the training of human resources in health in our country.

The program, designed by Clinical Simulation Center of the Faculty of Biomedical Sciences of Austral University y the European Group on Clinical Simulation (EUSIM), count on the Funding from the Johnson & Johnson Foundation.

The goal is to train 400 professionals from all over the country so that they can generate a direct impact in their areas of influence.

This training program is 100% subsidized for participants.

Spaces are limited for all four editions. Once pre-registration applications have been received and evaluated, confirmation of your place will be sent via email, subject to availability.

 

4th Edition

  • 1th EditionApril 9 to May 28 (course held virtually on Tuesdays, 16 to 18 pm)
  • 2th Edition: June 11 to August 6 (course held virtually on Tuesdays, 16 to 18 pm)
  • 3rd EditionAugust 15 to October 3 (course held virtually on Thursdays, 16 to 18 pm)
  • 4th Edition: October 15th to December 3rd. (The course is held virtually on Tuesdays, from 16 to 18 pm.)

INFORMATION

Health professionals who work in both educational and healthcare settings in public or private institutions in Argentina.

  • To provide tools for the planning and implementation of clinical simulation according to international best practices
  • To provide tools for training in patient safety content.
  • Promote the inclusion of patient safety content in undergraduate and/or postgraduate training programs
  • Introduction to Clinical Simulation
  • Psychological Safety.
  • Introduction to Patient Safety.
  • Human Factors - Non-technical skills.
  • Designing scenarios to promote patient safety.
  • Introduction to debriefing. Debriefing practice.
  • 100% Virtual, with a total commitment of 64 hours. - Weekly synchronous meetings of 2 hours, for 8 weeks. They will be participatory and with activities in small groups. - Asynchronous activities of independent work through a virtual classroom.
  • The program will include formative assessment through practical exercises in synchronous meetings and through the virtual classroom.
  • The summative assessment of the program will consist of the submission of a final project.
  • Each participant must attend 80% of the synchronous meetings and participate actively.
  • Submit the activities through the virtual classroom.
  • Approve the final project.
