REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS
BASIC RESIDENCES:
- ID card or passport
- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Maximum age at the time of registration: 35 years
- Professional title and title validation
- Demonstrate a minimum average of 6 points in the undergraduate degree, considering failed courses and excluding the "rotating internship point" (in the case of the Medicine degree)
Registration fees for the basic residency exam:
- The administrative cost of registration is $46.000 for Argentine citizens or foreigners with permanent residence.
- The administrative cost of registration is USD 300 for foreigners with precarious or temporary residence.
These sums of money will not be refunded if all the requirements necessary to access the exam are not met..
POST-BASIC RESIDENCES:

- Certificate of Prior Residence
- Maximum age at the time of registration is 35 years.
Registration fees for the post-basic residency exam:
- The administrative cost of registration is $25.000 for Argentine citizens or foreigners with permanent residence.
- The administrative registration fee is USD 100 for foreigners with precarious or temporary residence.”
These sums of money will not be refunded if all the requirements necessary to access the exam are not met.

Frequently asked questions
- How should I send the requested documentation? The documentation must be scanned and sent in PDF format via email to residencias@austral.edu.ar
- How do you pass the exam? The exam is passed by answering 60% of the questions correctly. Passing it is a mandatory requirement to continue in the selection process and enter the next stage of the competition.
- What format will the exam have? The exam will be taken in person.
- Is the exam the same for all specialties? Yes, there is a single exam for all medical specialties. Non-medical residencies have their own exam, depending on the specialty.
- Can one enroll in more than one specialty? No, only one.
- Where should the validation of your degree be processed? Enter the site of Validation of foreign university degrees by clicking here.
- What is the required reading for the exam? There is no required reading or syllabus for the exam. The knowledge acquired during your studies should be sufficient to pass the exam without difficulty.
- How is the final ranking score calculated?The final ranking score is composed of 70% of the exam result (which must be passed with 60% of the questions correct) and 30% of the personal interview result.
