The CERI of the Universidad Austral It brought together experts to reflect on the challenges of the technological revolution and human development

The Center for the Study of Interpersonal Relationships (CERI) of the Institute of Family Sciences of the Universidad Austral Last week, he convened specialists, academics, businesspeople, and officials to discuss the 4.0 revolution and its implications for human development and interpersonal relationships.

The 6th International Congress on Interpersonal Relations of the CERI of the Universidad AustralThe event, entitled "Human Development in Times of [Re]Evolution 4.0", was held in the Buenos Aires City Legislature building, following a previous day at the Campus of the Universidad Austral In Pilar. "It is thanks to technology that the conviction to donate blood has multiplied in recent years in Argentina; technology made this possible. Nothing will replace the human gaze that understands who is cold or needs something," highlighted Juan Carr, founder of the community organization Red Solidaria.

Among the speakers at the event were technologist Santiago Bilinkis, "disinfluencer" Jerónimo Freixas, and the British Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Mark Kent. Several members of the academic community gave presentations at the Pre-Congress, held at the Pilar Campus. The Dean of the Faculty of Engineering of the Universidad AustralJuan Pablo Cosentino, who presided over the opening keynote address, pointed out that "consciously or unconsciously, we share information, but we are not aware of what people do with it." He added, "It is necessary to consider the education and cultural transformation of the stakeholders involved, not only in the use of new technologies, but also in the adaptability they need to achieve a digital transformation."

“We are modified in a very precise way by the technologies we use. People’s relationship with technologies is not instrumental, but bilateral and interactive; therefore, it is advisable to adopt a relational perspective,” said Mariángeles Castro Sánchez, director of the Bachelor’s Degree in Family Counseling at the Institute of Family Sciences of the Universidad Austral.

Congress also participated Juan Pablo Sassano, sUndersecretary of Citizen Security of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, who highlighted that "the most relevant thing in a world where individuals work with machines is to reconvert work, but not at the expense of people, but for people."

Leandro Yaconis, an educational mentor at Argentina Cibersegura, stated during the Pre-Congress that "we must be aware of respecting the identity of our children, because what is shared in the digital world remains, and can influence their future digital and real identity."
