During her presentation, María Sánchez reviewed the path built during the last few years between the institutions and highlighted how the different projects, workshops and training and research instances were expanding the spaces for collaboration.
“We, as holistic designers, bring a systemic perspective when we strategically develop projects. The interesting thing about our degree is that we focus on the human factor,” he said, describing a dimension that runs through the entire Austral Design Bachelor's program: the possibility of learning and designing through connections with others, with other disciplines, and with the local area.
The declaration proposes the creation of an international network of Design Experiences that connects institutions, professionals, researchers, and communities around applied systemic design and new forms of collaboration. As the document states, the aim is to build a network that allows for “sharing methodologies, results, challenges, and perspectives” and to advance toward a new international geography of design applied to transformations.
The signing of the Buenos Aires Charter marks the starting point for expanding international ties and projecting them toward future experiences in other countries. For the Bachelor's Degree in Design at the Faculty of Communication, this meeting represents a milestone in consolidating a perspective on systemic and strategic design.
