The Diploma in Artificial Intelligence for Teaching and Educational Innovation is a training proposal aimed at 5000 teachers (first cohort) and directors of the educational system of the Province of San Luis, oriented to support the pedagogical incorporation of artificial intelligence in teaching practices.
This initiative is part of the teacher training policy promoted by the Provincial Government, which aims to strengthen educators' pedagogical and technological skills to meet the challenges of contemporary education. The diploma program is funded by the Province, allowing teachers to access this training free of charge.
Throughout the program, participants will explore tools, teaching strategies, and frameworks for reflection that will allow them to integrate artificial intelligence in a critical, creative, and responsible way in the classroom.
Structure of the diploma
The training is organized into four challenges, which guide the learning journey from the fundamentals to the advanced application of artificial intelligence in teaching.
Challenge 1 – Starting Engines
Introduction to artificial intelligence in education.
The fundamental concepts, the first pedagogical uses of AI, and the possibilities offered by these tools to support teaching are addressed.
Challenge 2 – Let's get to work
Instructional design with artificial intelligence.
Teachers are exploring how to integrate AI tools into lesson planning, activity design, and student learning support.
Challenge 3 – Raising the Stakes
Evaluation, feedback, and automation.
The use of AI is explored in depth to improve processes of evaluation, feedback and organization of teaching work.
Challenge 4 – Hacking the practice
Integrative project.
Participants develop a proposal applied to their own educational context, using AI tools to solve real challenges in teaching practice.

In addition, participants will have access to a virtual campus of the School of Education of the Universidad AustralThis is where you will find reading materials, assignments, recordings, and supplementary resources. This space will also host activities, submissions, and opportunities for interaction among colleagues, allowing you to share experiences, reflect on practices, and build collaborative learning.
Support and tutoring
The diploma program features a tutoring model specially designed to support teachers throughout the learning process.
Each group of participants works with tutors who guide the development of activities, moderate discussion groups, and provide personalized pedagogical support. This model allows for high-quality training even in large cohorts.
Assessment and certification
Those who complete and pass the course will receive the Diploma in Artificial Intelligence for Teaching and Educational Innovation certificate, issued by the School of Education of the Universidad Austral, within the framework of the training agreement developed together with the Province of San Luis.
Learning community
Once the course is completed, participants will be able to remain connected to a Learning Community, a space for exchange and updating where they can share experiences, best practices and advances in the implementation of artificial intelligence in the educational field.
