The Intellectual Property Center of the Universidad Austral (CPI) was founded on August 28, 2001 with the purpose of creating an academic environment to develop educational, research, dissemination, conflict resolution and service provision activities that promote the development of intellectual property in all its aspects and for all technical, scientific, arts and humanities disciplines.
The Master's Degree in Intellectual Property (accredited with category “A” by CONEAU) and the Online Diploma in Intellectual Property depend on the CPI Universidad Austral.
While encompassing all specialties, the CPI is one of the leading academic centers in Ibero-America for intellectual property, specifically for the protection of trademarks, pharmaceutical inventions, and biotechnological inventions. The professionals at the center are, collectively, the authors of the most significant body of scholarly work in these fields, published in books, articles in specialized journals, and opinion pieces.
The CPI, as an integral unit of the University, is in close and permanent contact with the Institute of Higher Business Studies (IAE) at the Pilar campus and with the Faculty of Business Sciences and its Bachelor's Degree in Agribusiness at the campus Rosario of the Universidad Austral.

Books, book articles, collective collaborations, papers in specialized journals, academic works, and opinion pieces in the main newspapers of Argentina highlight not only the suitability of our Professors, but also their active participation in the generation of knowledge and doctrine in this specialty at both the national and international levels.
Just by summarizing the last few years, the following list of annual publications is a sample that demonstrates one of the fundamental reasons why the Master's Degree in Intellectual Property of the Universidad Austral It has the "A" rating awarded by the NATIONAL COMMISSION FOR UNIVERSITY EVALUATION AND ACCREDITATION (CONEAU) through Resolution 1282/15.
