The proportion of the population over 65 years of age living in Argentina will have doubled by 2050 compared to 2010 levels, and within 27 years, older adults will represent 19% of the national total, "exceeding the regional and global average", according to projections from various organizations highlighted in a report by the Institute of Family Sciences of the Universidad Austral on the occasion of World Population Day.
