On August 7th and 8th, a team from the School of Education (EEDU) traveled to Catamarca to begin training for the administrative and teaching staff of the schools participating in the META Operation. Those present included Santiago Bellomo , Dean of the School of Education; Consuelo Pierpauli and Clara González Chávez , members of the META Program team; and Romina Campopiano , academic coordinator of the training course.

The first in-person meeting with school leadership teams took place on Friday, the 7th. This session kicked off the training program and focused on the role of school leaders in reading and using information for decision-making, with an emphasis on evidence-based learning improvement. The tools and resources that will support the process were also presented, and a forum was created for discussion about the specific challenges of school management in the province.

On Saturday the 8th, four courses for teachers began, specifically designed for those who teach 3rd and 6th grade in primary school and 3rd and 6th year in secondary school, in the areas of Mathematics and Language Arts. Based on the results and experience of the META Assessment, the program encourages teachers to review their teaching practices and work with evidence to support and strengthen student learning.

These face-to-face meetings mark the beginning of a journey that will extend from August to November, with synchronous training sessions and independent work activities aimed at deepening the content and promoting its application in the classroom.
