On Tuesday, February 11, the School of Education organized a new meeting of Schools of the META Program (Measurement and Evaluation for the Transformation of Learning).

The event aimed to share planned improvements and analyze, together with the schools, opportunities for program growth in 2025. In addition, ideas were exchanged on evaluation criteria and standards, agreeing on best practices to ensure the quality of the results.

With the participation of 49 representatives from educational institutions —26 in person and 23 virtually— the schools present were: Chesterton School, Sagrada Familia School, San Martin de Tours School, Jacaranda School, Cartoneros Foundation and their children, EBEN EZER, Euskal Echea Institute, María de Guadalupe, Michael Ham Nordelta, Michael Ham Vicente Lopez, Oakhill CABA, Oakhill Pilar.

Highlights of the match:

The new management system under development for taking assessments and processing data for the META Program was presented, which is being carried out in collaboration with the Applied Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (LIAA) of the University of Buenos Aires (UBA).

A pioneering project in Argentina, led by EEDU, was unveiled, focusing on the use of artificial intelligence for reading comprehension assessment. This innovative approach sparked great interest among schools, which showed a high level of engagement in the invitation to participate in a pilot program.

It was proposed to incorporate a greater number of PISA-type exercises into the program's assessments, highlighting the reasons and benefits of this initiative, which seeks to raise the level of rigor and align with international standards.

Various criteria related to taking assessments were discussed, achieving key consensuses to guarantee the quality and reliability of the results obtained.

We appreciate the commitment of each of the institutions that participated in this learning and collaboration space. We continue working together for quality education, based on continuous improvement and innovation.
