In Argentina, students lose one month of classes per year and the equivalent of a school year throughout primary school.

A report by Argentinos por la Educación (Argentinians for Education) warns that primary school students miss an average of 30 days of school per year. Student absenteeism appears as the main problem identified by principals in the Aprender standardized tests, and the study highlights the lack of systematic national data to accurately assess the extent of the phenomenon.
