Staff Neurosurgeon, National Pediatric Hospital Prof. Dr. Juan P. Garrahan.
“I was born and raised in Pilar. From the moment I approached the Campus to inquire about the program, I was struck by the approachability of the professors, administrative staff, and faculty authorities. I chose Austral University because of the overall project the University had.”

Assistant Professor at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.
I chose to study at Austral University because I was interested in an education at a university where academic excellence is combined with a holistic approach to the human being. From having access to professors who are the best specialists in their field, to starting my degree by seeing patients in the Doctor-Patient Relationship course, for all this and so much more, I would choose Austral University again.
Our graduates enter society with broad and deep knowledge of biological, humanistic, and psychosocial sciences, and with a strong capacity for teamwork. They can dedicate themselves to primary healthcare for individuals, their families, and the community, or they can train in specialized fields.

Medical students can choose to participate in an international exchange program. Some of the universities with which the Faculty of Biomedical Sciences has agreements are:

“I had the opportunity to complete part of the Rotating Internship in Spain, specifically in San Sebastian and Madrid. I loved the experience in San Sebastián because it's a "little town" super quiet unlike Madrid, plus I was in a public hospital, whereas in Madrid I was in one private. Madrid is a city I love. It makes me feel Just like at home, people are really friendly and open with Argentinians.
I chose the University of Navarra because I want to specialize in Pediatric Oncology and it seemed like a unique opportunity to see the progress and management of cancer in a country that is much more advanced than ours.
It was truly a very enriching experience on a personal, professional, and cultural level. On a professional level I learned a lot about a specialty that changes year after year, such as Oncology. I lived alone, made many friends of different nationalities, mainly from Latin America and Spain, and had The opportunity to travel through much of Spain and France. I highly recommend this experience; it's unique.. "
