Is Design for Social Impact Buenos Aires (DIS ba), workshop This international event, held from September 22nd to 26th, brought together more than 120 students. In just five days, and accompanied by professors from their program and from Italy, the students researched, designed, implemented, and presented projects in response to the challenges faced by four organizations in the third sector and the business world. Pushing Limits, Spartan Foundation, Yuguets y Ecotown.

The challenges were diverse: from expanding funding sources to improving volunteer management and digital presence. Through research tools, visual thinking, prototyping, and systems analysis, the teams developed innovative and concrete proposals, presented in audiovisual and expository formats. The solutions included changes in communication and value propositions, volunteer training plans, the development of applications and websites, the creation of volunteer archetypes, and improvements to the visual identity.

The opening ceremony, held on Monday the 22nd at the Pilar Campus, was presided over by Julián Rodríguez, rector of the Universidad Austral, and by Esteban Pittaro, Academic Secretary of the Faculty of CommunicationThen an international conference took place, led by ISIA Roma Design teachers: Roberto Paura, Sara Andreozzi, Giovanna Merialdo and Valerio Pasquazi.

From Universidad Austral We aim to support future professionals so they can become agents of change serving their community and the environment in which they live. In this sense, DIS ba It is consolidated as an educational experience that exercises a mindset of innovation and demonstrates how strategic design can become a key tool for social transformation and innovation.
