PhD in International Relations (UNR) and graduate of the Postdoctoral Studies Program with a specialization in Social Sciences (UNTREF). Master's degree in International Relations with a focus on Asia Pacific (UNLP-IRI) and Bachelor's degree in International Relations (UNR). He has been a doctoral and postdoctoral fellow of CONICET and also a research fellow of the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Reunification of the Republic of Korea.
His area of specialization is the processes of economic modernization in Asia Pacific (China, Korea, Japan, etc.); studies of international stratification with a focus on the rise of China and its impact on peripheral countries; inter-Korean relations and the geopolitics of East Asia.
He is the Executive Director of the Doctorate in Political Science, Executive Director of the Revista Política Austral, Director of the Center for Asian Studies and Professor of Undergraduate and Postgraduate Studies at the School of Government, Politics and International Relations.
