CORDOBA – International prices for soybeans and corn are at their lowest levels in the last three years: 4% lower for soybeans and 8% lower for corn. Wheat prices, however, show no difference. The Buenos Aires Grain Exchange also indicated in a report that, at these prices, producer sales of the estimated harvest are 12%, 9 percentage points below the average for this period for soybeans, 12 points lower for wheat (currently at 52%), and 9 percentage points lower for corn (currently at 21%). The drop in prices and the lag in the official exchange rate are contributing factors.
