Under the leadership of Alejandro Sureda, director of the Department of Industrial Engineering, the area has been promoting an active presence in these spaces of federal scope, aimed both at making visible the developments of the teaching staff and at strengthening the exchange of pedagogical experiences and the debate on the future of the discipline.
In that framework, The delegation presented five practical application projects that addressed various thematic areas of the industrial field. On one hand, Juan Cruz Fernández, in his capacity as director of the Industrial Engineering programHe spoke about curricular flexibility based on a model that transfers principles and tools from Industrial Engineering to the design of study plans. The proposal suggests that governance should focus on the architecture of the curriculum and not on the isolated sum of subjects, establishing a structured and replicable process that includes the standardization of course loads, the integration of content and the review of correlations, achieving as a direct consequence reaching 20% electives for the personalization of academic paths.

In this same vein of technical dissemination in Industrial Engineering, Alejandro Sureda presented his work “Yamazumi Methodology for the diagnosis and redesign of the bottleneck in a logistics operation” , adding to the contributions of the teachers Martín Pellegrini: “Lean resilience: Conceptual framework to integrate Lean Manufacturing and operational resilience under uncertainty” and Carlos Ruiz Huidobro “Extension of Value Stream Mapping through statistical visualization of lead time variability”.

At the same time, Guillermo Chinni presented on behalf of the Chair of Mass and Energy Balance "Formative assessment through cases to promote reflective learning in Engineering", presenting a paper developed jointly with Professor María Angélica Moya and Professor Alfonsina Fauda.

Alongside the academic sessions, Juan Cruz Fernández participated in the National Meeting of Directors of Industrial Engineering Programs, a forum with federal representation from over 20 directors of Industrial Engineering programs across the country. During the meeting, issues related to Supervised Professional Practices (PPS) were addressed, proposals from the Argentine Association of Industrial Engineering Students (AArEII) regarding the incorporation of project-based assessment methodologies and a competency-based approach were considered, and an agreement was reached to support the creation of a national Industrial Engineering data observatory.

Ongoing participation in these meetings is crucial for comparing the department's training programs with the national university and industry context. It also provides an ideal forum for disseminating applied functional research generated by faculty and maintaining a fluid connection between academic output in Industrial Engineering and the classroom.
