To move, to make people feel, to live with others. That was the heart of a new Night of the Stars, the iconic showcase of short films made by third-year students of the Bachelor of Communication program at the Universidad Austral, which celebrated its 31th edition on the Pilar Campus.
Behind each audiovisual piece there were many more hours than what is seen on screen: creativity, production, team decisions and a comprehensive educational experience that puts into play not only technical knowledge, but also management skills and collaborative work.
“Beyond telling stories we want to share, making it happen involves teamwork, committing to someone else’s project, knowing that each role is essential, overcoming difficulties, and starting to experience what will soon come to them in their professional future,” highlighted Professor and Chair Head Dr. Gabriela Fabbro.
The learning and exploration session was led by professors Juan Palmieri and Gabriela Fabbro , and culminated in a gala evening with a screening of the short films in front of families, friends, and actors who were part of the filming.
The Dean of the Faculty of Communication, Marcela Pizarro , celebrated the meeting and the students' journey: "Reaching this day is a beautiful moment, full of joy for the entire FC community and for the students and their families, who always accompany us."
Speaking on behalf of one of the participants, student Paola Parés Dorta shared what the process meant: the challenge of filming handheld, the team's trust, the collective learning, and the vocational certainty that each "Action!" brings. "How wonderful it is when you trust each other so much that everyone can give 100% to their role and enjoy the process," she summarized.
A night of cinema, celebration and a professional future underway.
