Doctor of Philosophy and Letters from the University of Navarra (Pamplona, ​​Spain), alumnus of the Faculty of Philosophy of the Catholic University of Argentina (Buenos Aires).

He has resided in Rome for approximately 50 years. He is Professor Emeritus of Philosophy of Knowledge at the Faculty of Philosophy of the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross (Rome), where he served as Dean, and was also Professor of Logic at the Urbaniana University (Rome) for several years. He is the author of 19 books and some 130 scholarly articles on epistemology, philosophy of science, philosophy of nature, cosmology, philosophy of mind, and neuroscience. He is a full member of the Pontifical Roman Academy of St. Thomas Aquinas and the Argentine Thomistic Society. He has been a Visiting Professor of Philosophy at various Latin American universities in Mendoza, San Juan, San Luis, La Plata, Tucumán, Santiago de Chile, Montevideo, Arequipa, Bogotá, and Puebla, as well as at the Catholic University of Argentina and the University of Navarra. He is particularly interested in the relationship between science and philosophy. He has collaborated on various projects focused on interdisciplinary topics. He is a member of the scientific committee of several journals (Studia Poliana, Miscelanea Poliana, Forum. Supplement to Acta Philosophica) and has been a member of the editorial committee of Acta Philosophica (journal of the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of the Holy Cross in Rome).
