Testimonials
"The experience on the mission was fantastic. First, because we were able to provide a very valuable service to the Derqui community, which is very close to the University and always needs our contributions. Second, because it was a chance to meet people from other areas of the University, from other programs, and from other years."
Specifically, I'm in fifth grade, and I had the opportunity to meet incoming freshmen and sophomores, and it was really cool. Finally, the talks and all the opportunities for reflection and prayer helped those of us who are people of faith experience a well-rounded Holy Week.
"That's what I would highlight, mainly. It was a very good experience, in line with last year's mission, obviously more polished, and for me, it was extremely beneficial for all attendees." explains Mariano Grassia.
"I believe there's no better way to experience Holy Week than through missionary work, serving others, and bringing God to those most in need. I loved that the mission sought not only to tour and get to know the neighborhood, building community, but also to help families through charitable actions."
I was moved by how they welcomed us, with what little they had; bringing out deck chairs to the garden, drinking tereré and chipa, and opening up to us about their lives, regardless of who we were or where we came from. I also liked that we were doing missionary work so close to the University because we learned about a reality very close to us, and being only 20 minutes away, we can continue sharing with the families we met, taking advantage of the solidarity action initiatives in the same neighborhood. reflects Clara Belgrano.
