Over time, the world of Argentine intellectuals has agreed on a condition that forms the backbone of the country's political dynamics: Argentine democracy is forged by professional politicians. This means political careers that begin at subnational levels, progressing through legislative positions at the national level, making use of political and institutional resources with the aim of reaching the coveted executive positions at various levels. Javier Milei burst onto the national political scene fueled by citizen discontent, disrupting this traditional playing field until he reached the top prize.
