At the Institute of Philosophy of the Universidad Austral We celebrate the recent media visibility of a project led by one of our CONICET researchers: the psychologist Dr. Santiago Resett who works on the development of two serious video games designed to prevent bullying and grooming among children and teenagers. The news was originally published by Ambit and it was replicated in more than 78 media outlets, highlighting the social, educational and technological impact of this initiative.

Both games are in the production stage, with an estimated progress of 50%, and are being developed in collaboration between CONICET and the Universidad Austral and the Argentine University of Business (UADE). The first video game is aimed at children between 9 and 11 years old and uses a detective narrative to raise awareness about grooming: while playing, children collect digital clues about online interactions, identify risks, and receive recommendations to protect their personal information. The second is aimed at teenagers, who take on the role of bystanders in school bullying situations and must decide how to react: join in, withdraw, or ask for help, with different consequences for each decision, which promotes empathy and the courage to intervene.

In addition to their preventative value, both developments aspire to be of Free access for schools and families, with the aim of promoting a culture of digital awareness and responsible online interaction. The media coverage demonstrates the public interest in educational initiatives that combine technology and moral development, and reaffirms the Institute of Philosophy's commitment to ethical education from an innovative perspective.
