"The Annual Alumni Reunion is invaluable not only for the graduates but also for the professors: it allows them to see the fruits of their labor. These kinds of events give meaning to the professors' work; they are an invitation to see how the little trees they once nurtured and placed in the sun are doing.”, defined Esteban Pittaro, a graduate of the Universidad Austral, professor and academic secretary of the Faculty of Communication.
For more than 7 years, the Graduates and Professional Development department has been inviting graduates of the Universidad Austral to reunite with classmates, colleagues, professors, and administrators to strengthen ties with the community. This message was conveyed by Rector Julián Rodríguez, who welcomed and thanked the graduates for “be present on this day and alwaysFurthermore, he urged them toto help us do what we do better, to help us do new things, to innovate"And finally, he invited the graduates to renew their commitment to the university."
During the meeting, alumni had the opportunity to contribute to the Scholarship Fund by making a monthly or one-time donation to help more young people receive a quality education. Nearly 90 graduates participated in this initiative, which grows stronger each year.
With the goal of getting to know the graduates better, the organizers provided a brief survey for attendees to indicate which activities sparked their interest. Having this data will allow the Alumni and Professional Development department to create engaging initiatives and send personalized information.
