Tomorrow, in his usual Sunday column, Julio Petrarca will bid farewell as ombudsman of the newspaper PERFIL after more than a decade of serving in his role with rigor, elegance, and wisdom. In addition to this decade as readers' advocate, Petrarca, at the youthful age of 82, has accumulated four decades working for various publications within Editorial Perfil, practically since its founding with the magazine La Semana, the predecessor of the current Noticias. Among many personal memories, Petrarca was the La Semana journalist who traveled to cover my eventful first move as an exile when, after the Falklands War, the dictatorship ordered my arrest.
