Carlos Adam is an Industrial Engineer from ITBA and completed the PMD at Harvard Business School. He is currently a PhD candidate in Systemic Innovation Management at ITBA. He has also pursued postgraduate studies in E-Business Management (USAL – Georgetown University) and Biotechnology and Business (Di Tella University), among others.

In addition, he holds certifications such as Professional Director of Companies and Director of Open Capital Companies (IGEP), B Corporation Consultant (System B), etc.

Prior to his academic and consulting career, he spent 25 years with the Techint Group in various countries/regions (Argentina/Mercosur, Italy/Europe, USA, and Mexico), working in different companies/industries (Steel, Engineering & Contracting, Heavy Equipment, Steelmaking Machinery, Machine Tools, Auto Parts, Electric Motors, Software & Telematics, Wastewater Treatment, and Hospital Management) and in different functional areas (Planning and Control, Strategic Planning, General Management, Marketing, and Sales). His positions included Central Director of Planning and Control for the European Group, New Business Manager, Marketing Manager, Automotive Division Manager, and Industrial Products Division Manager for Tenaris in the Southern Cone.

His focus of study is Horizontal Organizations and Innovation Management in the Company.

Currently, he is a professor of Business Policy at the Faculty of Business Sciences of the Universidad Austral and of Innovation and Design Engineering at UNTREF. Since 2010 he has served as Managing Partner at Tantum for Argentina, Uruguay, Bolivia and Paraguay, a company that specializes in Strategy Implementation and Innovation Management.
