The complexity of suicide As a social phenomenon, it requires a multidisciplinary and intersectoral approach for its prevention and intervention. Its origins are multicausal, conditioned by various individual, family, and socio-environmental risk factors, which calls upon civil society and different social and political actors to assume a leading role in this matter. Certainly, its eradication will not be feasible, but reducing the rates of suicides which raise the statistics annually.
