In the month of October the seminar was held “Educational Leadership for Change”, a training space intended for the program's management teams Secondary School LearnOrganized by the School of Education of the Universidad Austral and the IAE Business School.
The opening of the meeting was led by Dr. Santiago Bellomo, dean of the School of Education; the Ms. Karina Brahim, Director of Extension and Transfer; and the Mg. Oscar Ghillione, Undersecretary of Educational Planning and Innovation of the Ministry of Education of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires.
La inaugural conference was in charge of Eduardo “Coco” Oderigo, co-founder of the Spartans Foundation and the seminar's keynote speaker, who shared his testimony on leadership, resilience, confidence, and teamwork. His inspiring message kicked off a learning journey that continued with a conference on Professor Ramiro Seré, from the School of Education.
During the October 20thThe participants were able to listen to Professor Sergio “Cachito” Vigil, high-performance coach and key figure in the Argentine national hockey team The Lionesses, world champion and Olympic medalist. Vigil shared a reflection that left a lasting impression on those present:
“The greatest enemy of learning is intolerance to frustration. Life is full of goals and dreams; what matters is not how far we get, but how we transform ourselves along the way.”
Next, the participation of Dr. Justin Reich, associate professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), researcher at Harvard and director of MIT Teaching Systems LaboratoryInternational benchmark in Educational innovation and digital learningDr. Reich gave a talk on school innovation and improvement, in which she shared strategies and perspectives for integrating artificial intelligence and technology to support learning.
Over four days, the management teams participated in conferences and collaborative spaces organized into three thematic stations: Leadership, Communication y Design thinkingThese initiatives sought to strengthen institutional capacities to lead, communicate and innovate in educational communities, driving change through school management.
