La School of Government of the Universidad Austral participated in the launch of the program “Towards a participatory government: Promoting Open Government Policies and Citizen Participation at the Subnational Level”The initiative, funded by the European Union and carried out in conjunction with the Open and Digital Country Foundation, the municipality of Bahía Blanca and our School of Government, aims to train 30 municipalities from different parts of the country to promote open government policies and citizen participation.
In this first stage the program will reach the municipalities of Concordia (Entre Ríos), Corrientes City, Luján de Cuyo (Mendoza), San Isidro (Buenos Aires), Tandil (Buenos Aires), Gualeguaychú (Entre Ríos), Mendoza City, Godoy Cruz (Mendoza), San Antonio de Areco (Buenos Aires) and Bahía Blanca (Buenos Aires).
Our institution is honored to be part of an initiative that will help legitimize local government policies through citizen participation and transparency. This fulfills our mission to be strategic partners with different levels of government in improving their institutional and management quality.
