In the framework of the Observatory of Argentina's Accession Process to the OECD, the School of Government of the Universidad Austral and the Center for International Strategies of Governments and Social Organizations (CIG) They held a new edition of OECD Dialogue Cycle, focused on the theme “International cooperation for sustainable development”.

The meeting, which took place virtually on Friday, October 17, aimed to promote dialogue and knowledge generation around one of the strategic axes of Argentina's accession process to the OECD: cooperation for development and its alignment with international standards of sustainability, transparency and innovation.

They participated as exhibitors Rolf Schwarz, Head of Global Engagement Unit at the OECD's Development Cooperation Directorate (DCD); Chloé Delaitre Bonet, Junior Policy Analyst, Global Engagement (DCD); and Néstor Pelechá Aigues, Policy Analyst, Reforms and Partnerships for Development Impact (DCD).

Key topics covered during the talk included:

• The role of the OECD and the DAC as global platforms for the coordination of policies and standards on sustainable development.

• The cooperation instruments available to countries and the importance of participation in regional dialogues and peer reviews.

• The need to strengthen national capacities to measure and manage Official Development Assistance (ODA) and financial flows linked to sustainable development.

• Recent experiences of collaboration between Latin America and the DAC, including the ALC-CAD Laboratories on poverty reduction, inequalities and multidimensional metrics, in which Argentina and Spain have played a prominent role as co-leaders.

El OECD Dialogue Cycle It seeks to bring the academic community, the public sector and civil society closer to the organization's current debates, fostering a constructive exchange that contributes to institutional strengthening and the convergence of Argentine public policies with OECD standards.
