"The experience of visiting the nursing home proved extremely valuable for my future. At first, it made a strong and impactful impression on me, as I, at least, had never been to a nursing home before. What struck me most was the fact that the elderly residents don't receive many visitors."
After finishing the activity and seeing how happy the grandparents looked after our visit, we experienced a super rewarding feeling.
"Seeing how a small act of kindness on our part (like sharing a snack or playing bingo with them) transcends so much and completely changes the mood of the elderly people who were waiting for our visit all week, is a great satisfaction." explains Lucio Panighini, a Public Accountant student.
"I had the opportunity to volunteer at the Food Bank of Rosario both in administrative and operational tasks. I take away a great experience of cooperative work, but above all, what I value most are the lessons learned.
The possibility of helping families in need by voluntarily providing them with large quantities of good quality food is something that has enormous value.
Behind the delivery of these food bags are many hours of work and volunteers; witnessing this sacrifice and dedication firsthand is something that motivates and inspires us to continue helping. Manuel Santamaría, a Business Administration student, reflects.
