Presentation

The dynamics of state institutions present us, as legal professionals, with the challenge of possessing skills focused on Constitutional Law. To address cases from a constitutional perspective, it is essential to have prior theoretical and practical knowledge aimed at developing a solid understanding of the constitutional framework.

Your knowledge of Constitutional Law will be organized, updated and enhanced in order to properly frame constitutional cases arising from the various areas in which the activity of state powers unfolds.

 

The Diploma in Advanced Constitutional Law is part of the Master's Degree in Law LLM with a focus on Constitutional Law.

Objectives

➤ Refresh your knowledge of Advanced Constitutional Law, focusing on the Organic Part of the National Constitution, in order toto update and revitalize them;

➤ Refresh the core themes of the Organic Part of the National Constitution within the framework of specific cases and experiences;

➤ Incorporate professional skills aimed at identifying cases of constitutional relevance inherent to the dynamics of the State Powers, and the preparation for their litigation;

In that area of ​​power dynamics, acquire skills in teamworkreplicating the usual professional work;

➤ Delve deeper into jurisprudence —especially from the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation— and relevant doctrine for theoretical and field research focused on the organization and work of the Powers of the State;

Approaching experiences from Comparative Law selected in order to shed light on questions specific to the Organic Part of the National Constitution. 

Course format

*The Diploma course will be taken in a flexible in-person, some classes in format hybrid (teachers and students attend in person at Cerrito 1250 with the exception of those who are more than 100km from the headquarters) and others are 100% online.

 

Aimed at:

Lawyers from the public and private sectors, with an interest in Constitutional Law, whether on a professional or academic level, in the practical and research aspects.

The Diploma course will last 120 hours and will be held on Mondays from 16 to 20 pm (GMT-3) according to the class schedule.

 

  • Module I – Constitution and Separation of Powers (50 h)
  • Module II – Executive Power (30 h)
  • Module III – Legislative Branch (40 h)

A theoretical and practical exam is scheduled at the end of each module. In addition, LL.M. students may receive credit for their Diploma hours in the LL.M. with a specialization in Constitutional Law.
