The first meeting of the year took place on Thursday, April 16th. Advisory Council of the Universidad Austral, key space for dialogue y strategic support which brings together leading figures from the business and social spheres, with the aim of contributing their perspective and experience to institutional development.
The meeting was attended by the members of the Council: Facundo Gómez Minujin, CEO of JP Morgan Argentina; Santiago Negri, former president of CREA and agricultural producer; Horacio BustilloCEO of PECOM; Gabriela Bardin, former CEO of Procter & Gamble; Felicitas Castrillon, VP Communications & Publicity Disney LatAm – The Walt Disney Company; Daniel Grané, founder and CEO of Aguará; Mariano Güemes, general manager of Quento Snacks; and VVictor Valle, former CEO of Google Argentina.
They also participated virtually Isela Costantini, CEO of GST Financial Group; Matías Rotella, CEO of the Memphis Family Office; Alberto Arizu, CEO of Luigi Bosca; and Alfredo Irigoin, founder of Linzor Capital Partners.
They were unable to attend this meeting in person. Gabriela Pittis, Head of Oncology and Specialty at Adium, and Juan Garibaldi, CEO & Senior VP of Danone Southern Cone, who are an active part of the Advisory Board.
During the meeting, they discussed the main projects on the University's agenda, the 2030 Strategic Plan and the progress of key initiatives, such as the Innovation Hub in Biomedicine, in line with the institutional mission to train professionals of excellence with ethical commitment y social.
On behalf of the Universidad Austral Participating authorities and institutional representatives were: the Rector, Julián Rodríguez; Pablo de Lazzari, Vice-Rector of Economic Affairs; Daniel Pelegrina, Director of Institutional Public Relations; Ana Galiano, Vice-Rector of Outreach; Julián Maggini, Executive Director of the Outreach and Transfer Unit; Julio Durand, Director of the Institutional Reputation Unit; Fabiana Vierheller, Strategic Planning Coordinator; and Inés de Laferrère, Manager of Institutional Relations.
The Advisory Council aims to support and enrich the University's strategy by providing an external perspective on the socio-economic context, global trends, labor market needs, and institutional positioning, as well as collaborating on strategic projects and strengthening ties with the business world.
This first meeting of the year marks the beginning of a new working period for the Advisory Council (2025–2027), consolidating a space for exchange, listening, and joint construction, fundamental for the growth and projection of the Universidad Austral.
