She completed a research professorship and a postgraduate degree in Media Arts and Practice at the University of Southern California, USA. She is currently an advisor to the Board of Directors of the School of Communication at the Universidad AustralShe is a PhD candidate in Communication at Universidad Austral, her thesis focuses on World Building as a methodology for creating fictional future scenarios and as a process for perceiving and solving social problems.
Her academic work focuses on Transmedia Narrative Design, the Creation of Fictional Worlds, and Content for Immersive Media such as Virtual Reality. She is a Professor in the Master's Program in Content Management and collaborates on the Communication Technologies and Information Structure courses. She is a full professor of Screenwriting I and Screenwriting II at the University of Montevideo, Uruguay. She is a member of the World Building Institute from the University of Southern California.
She also works in the audiovisual industry as Content Development Coordinator for the Mediabiz Talent Agency, which provides content to production companies such as Sony, Fox, Turner, Televisa, Azteca, Caracol, Netflix, HBO, Amazon, and other companies around the world. A year ago, she launched a new venture, developing immersive content.
Among his notable publications are: “Teaching of Corporate Social Responsibility”, (2012, UNDP, United Nations Development Program, NY, US); “Pop Culture and Philosophy: The Notion of Death in Heidegger and TV Dramas” (2016, The Cine Files, US). As a contributor to the articles: “World Building and the Future of Media. A Case Study-Makoko 2036” (2016, Technology and Society Magazine, IEEE) and “Listening Violetta”. Study Case, IAE Business School 2016).
She worked at the Ikuru Films production company in Barcelona as a script analyst for films such as Séptimo (2013) and in the post-production of Tadeo Jones (2012). She was a member of the Board of Directors of the Faculty of Communication (2011-2014) and (2019-present) and worked in the Faculty's Coordination Department.
In 2016, he and his team at USC received international recognition for the project “Dry City Project, Floating School at Makoko.” The project was exhibited at the USC IMAX theater (Spring 2016) and at the replica of the Makoko floating school, winner of the Silver Lion by Kunlé Adeyemi at the 2016 Venice Biennale. In 2011, she received the Santander Group Scholarship to pursue a Master's degree in Spain.
She performs community service through various organizations. She has a strong interest in Human Rights, Social Development, and Women's Empowerment. She has been a volunteer with CONIN and Impulso Social for over ten years. She has also worked promoting Indigenous women in the Puna region of Jujuy and in Corrientes; and as a school tutor in the neighborhoods of La Cava in San Isidro; González Catán in La Matanza; and Barrio Manglano in [unspecified location].
