Here you can read the summary:

Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) have generated significant changes in countless fields, enabling the introduction of new technologies and the development of new work methodologies. In this context, Mesurado and colleagues (2018) developed the Hero Program, the first web application designed to promote prosocial behaviors and socio-emotional well-being in adolescents. Given that Hero is a recent web development, it is of great interest to investigate its usability.

Event summary:

  1.  To study users' perceptions regarding the effectiveness of each module of the Hero program in promoting prosociality, empathy, gratitude, forgiveness, and satisfaction; and
  2.  Analyze user opinions regarding the general characteristics of the program, identifying the activities that generated the greatest level of enjoyment, as well as those that they did not like.

The sample consisted of 158 adolescents aged 12 to 17 years (M = 14.90; SD = 1.58, 54% female), from a middle socioeconomic background. The results indicate an irregular but progressive increase in each of the variables promoted by the Hero program. Furthermore, the program was highly accepted by the adolescents who participated in the intervention.
