Within the framework of the XII National Sustainability Forum 2025, the initiative “Sustainable Mobility: Imagine a future with Audi”, promoted by the Austral World Building Lab (AWBL) from the Faculty of Communication of the Universidad Austral together with Audi Argentina, received the LIDE Award for Educational InnovationHe was received by Luis García-Ghezzi, Secretary General of the Universidad Austral y Conrad Wittstat, General Manager of Audi Argentina.
The award highlighted the alliance between industry and academia in carrying out the competition, which brought together more than 80 students, graduates, and professors from different disciplines. Universidad AustralThe challenge consisted of co-creating innovative scenarios for electric and sustainable mobility in Argentina towards 2040, applying the methodology Worldbuilding for Social Innovation to design triple impact solutions (environmental, social and economic).
This collaboration, facilitated by the AWBL faculty and representatives from Audi Argentina, solidified a distinctive educational model by promoting innovative training for future professionals. Through the integration of technology, strategic thinking, creativity, and research, the experience fostered the development of a conscious perspective on sustainability and its role in shaping future scenarios.
For that, they relied on the guidance of the AWBL team: Teresa Bosch, founder of the Lab, Florencia Aguilar, Ignacio Trossero y Ana Jorge Artigau, and Lucila Frugoli, Guadalupe García Sanmartino y Juan FerrariGraduates of Design from the Faculty of Sciences. In the words of the director of AWBL: “This award confirms that when universities and industry are encouraged to imagine possible futures—and not just project trends—students become protagonists of sustainable mobility solutions with real impact. For us, it is also a validation of Worldbuilding for Social Innovation as a rigorous way to unite data, imagination, and social commitment in service of the common good.”
In awarding the prize, the LIDE jury highlighted the collaborative work between the two institutions, which demonstrated a genuine commitment to linking environmental responsibility with quality education. In this way, the award reaffirmed the positive impact of the competition, aligned with the mission of the Universidad Austral to train professionals capable of generating changes in society, anticipating challenges and leading transformation processes.
