A Doctor of Literature, linguist, university researcher, and author of over one hundred books, Pedro Luis Barcia defines himself as a born teacher. He says his whole life has been dedicated to sharing with his students the riches he gains from reading. And he has much to offer, because he is a voracious reader. “My first job, when I was a first-year student, was as a janitor at a school, San Vicente de Paul, here in La Plata,” he recounts. “Later, I was a custodian at that school, and then a teacher. I started from the bottom and worked my way up to the classroom, and since then, my obsession has been teaching.”
